Job Description

Personal Insurance Placement Specialist

Established independent agency seeking a detail-oriented person who demonstrates clear knowledge and understanding of commercial lines insurance coverage. Candidate will be familiar with all coverage lines with both admitted and non-admitted carriers.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications

  • Experience working with multiple lines of personal and commercial lines coverage, including excess and surplus lines
  • Excellent organization and follow-up skills
  • Ability to review insurance contracts for accuracy
  • Must be comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Skilled in applying problem solving techniques to various issues
  • Customer service experience is a must
  • Previous soft sales experience is a plus

Duties Will Include

  • Contacting customers and following up until their coverage needs are met
  • Providing coverage options and placing risk
  • Learning carrier appetite
  • Carrier communication and negotiation
  • Quoting, binding and issuance of policies
