Finance Manager – Consolidation & Special Projects (12 month FTC)

Location Commutable distance to Winchester

The role

  • Own the consolidation of Budgets, Mid-Year and Monthly Forecasts, and LTP, including reconciliation and checkpoints across the team, whilst ensuring all deadlines are achieved. Produce clear and targeted packs for Shareholders and the Executive Committee, presenting clear information which allows the business issues and assumptions to be understood, enabling decision making
  • Produce monthly management information delivering key messages on business performance, including Month End results, and presentation of the Monthly Outlook with corresponding Risks and Opportunities
  • Attend and support monthly Exco Finance sessions
  • Drive Budget/Forecast process improvements across the team, including Cash reporting
  • Update and support Product Profitability analysis
  • Manage the Bid Submission Process on behalf of the FD
  • Support the Month End process, including consolidated commentary and variance analysis by product to latest Forecast
  • Undertake projects and ad-hoc activity as requested
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis on financial matters in support of the Director of Commercial Finance & Operations
  • Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders (FP&S, Exco, Group Finance)
  • Work collaboratively with FP&S to produce high-quality analysis and understanding to include in presentation materials for Exco and Shareholders

The person

  • Comprehensive experience of analysing and explaining data to non-finance colleagues
  • Understanding of key cost, revenue and cash drivers together with risk and opportunity areas
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint and other office product,

business analytical tools and report writing capabilities

  • Experience of working as business partner into Exec Director level
  • Oracle, Qlik Sense and EPM experience desirable
  • Qualified accountant or similar finance degree
