KO445 - Friday Housekeeper - Upper East Side

Overview:

A lovely family of five living on the Upper East Side of New York is seeking a Friday housekeeper to assist with care of their home and children. The schedule for this role is Friday, 7am-7pm. There will be other caregivers to help with the afternoon shuffle. 

• Household cleaning, including deep cleaning, tidying, and sanitizing
• Family laundry- clothing and linens 
• Family cooking- preparing dinner several times per week and cleaning up afterwards
• Disposing of trash, opening boxes and deliveries and breaking down boxes for service area
• Making beds and changing linens for bedrooms and bathrooms
• Shopping for groceries and other household supplies 
• Organizing closets, toys, and kitchen shelves and cabinets
• Communicating with the family about any issues or household needs 
• Childcare including accompanying to school and other activities if needed

• Experience and comfort working with or around children
• Looking for a long-term commitment; the family would like to find someone to be with the family for many years 
• Proactive and able to prioritize household duties
• Meticulous and detail-oriented (the family is very conscious of cleanliness, and requires someone who is willing to sanitize household items regularly)
• Comfortable working with a very involved work-from-home mother and other staff
• Calm, patient, and warm 
• Ability to go to the Hampton's in the Summer is a HUGE plus

• Long-term experience in previous roles 
• Comfortable navigating children around the city 
• Basic COVID vaccine is required 

• $40-$45 per hour
