Endeavour Group demerged from Woolworths in 2021 and as part of the transition is taking the opportunity to transform how we operate as an independent business and establish supporting technology. 

The Senior Manager - Transition Partner is a critical leadership role, responsible for defining Endeavour Group’s required capabilities, and leading the analysis, development and implementation of sourcing strategies to meet those required capabilities. The Senior Manager for Capability is also expected to collaborate frequently with senior and executive leaders to ensure capability plans and sourcing strategies are aligned with strategic goals and enhance portfolio performance. 

The role requires critical and strategic thinking to define firm-wide required capabilities and develop portfolio-wide sourcing strategies, detailed data analysis to identify trends and make data-driven decisions, enhanced portfolio management skills to implement capability plans and sourcing strategies, clear written and verbal communication skills to disseminate complex information to all stakeholder levels, superior stakeholder management skills to set expectations and foster collaboration, and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage complex projects in a dynamic environment.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive capability assessment for the One Endeavour Program that aligns with Endeavour Group’s strategic objectives.
  • Identify critical capabilities required to achieve business goals and create plans to build / enhance the delivery of the Program and enable the efficient and effective long term operations of Endeavour Group.
  • Define sourcing strategies on how best to engage the market to fill capability requirements, and have a deep understanding of how these sourcing strategies intersect with the broader business. 
  • Engage and collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for sourcing initiatives.
  • Communicate sourcing plans with a broad audience, managing expectations and disseminating complex information.
  • Strategically engaging with the Endeavour Group’s people function to understand the workplace plan and fulfill noted external sourcing requirements.
  • Oversee the selection and management of external vendors and consultants, both onshore and offshore. 

Qualifications

  • 20+ years’ experience in a business General Manager role (or equivalent) with deep understanding over business functions (e.g., supply chain, marketing, finance, operations), including knowledge over required capabilities for excellence
  • Strong influencing skills with long term experience operating in a complex matrix structure.
  • Proven experience in business partnering with the ability to build rapport and partner with key internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Experience in identifying solutions to business performance challenges and people needs, and developing solutions to meet them.
  • Demonstrated program and project management skills.
