Primary focus will be applying data mining techniques, performing statistical analysis to turn data into information, and building a high-quality prediction system to enhance restaurant operations. Selecting and employing advanced statistical procedures to obtain actionable insights. Cross-validating models to ensure their generalizability. Producing and disseminating non-technical reports that detail the successes and limitations of each project. Suggesting ways in which insights obtained might be used to inform business strategies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to develop and maintain a predictive demand model and AI tools to improve production operations.

Activities include updating statistical model based on menu/operational changes, providing business analytics, presenting information to technical and non-technical audiences, and managing contractors.

Liaison with IT to assist with the Data Engineering and hardware implementation required to support the predictive demand model and support roll-out of associated kitchen equipment.

Support the department Manager and Director to maximize project results by assisting with project management processes including development of project charters, detailed project timelines, success criteria, functional requirements, development of testing methodology, data collection and analysis.

Partner with other Developers and Product Owners to understand requirements and provide scalable solutions in alignment with business technology strategy and architecture.

Keep up to date on industry trends and recommend solutions to meet business needs.

Participate in cross functional team meetings and provide technical support as needed for the management of operations test, market tests, or national roll outs of assigned projects including conducting restaurant surveys, data collection, management of supplier timelines and contractor activities.

Design Ideation

Development of functional requirements

Provides input and insight into the overall strategic roadmap for assigned products

Provides input on IT vendor partners to ensure effective service delivery

Development of project plan thru national implementation

Provide input related to team members technical performance during sprint deliverables

BS in data science, computer science, statistics, industrial engineering, or operations research with a minimum of 2-year experience in a commercial environment

Previous experience in the food service or related industry

Strong project management skills including the management of long duration, multi-functional engineering related projects

Excellent understanding of analytics, algorithms and simulation tools

Ability to mentor junior team members related to technical skills and performance

Ability to effectively communicate complicated technical topics in a manner that is understood by non-technical team members

Self-motivated, with the ability to manage own workload with minimal supervision

Proficient in the use of a variety of software applications including MS Project, Excel, MatLab, R Studio, SAS, SQL and Cloud tools

Predictive Analysis and Forecasting Python required

GCP technologies - Vertex AI, Spark, Data Proc, Gitlab and Big Query strongly desired

Vision AI and Voice AI are an added benefit
