The Alithya Capital Portfolio Planning (CPP) Product Manager is a technology-savvy seasoned consulting role that will provide domain and functional expertise required to effectively assist with Oracle EPM implementations and support EPM sales cycles from a techno-functional perspective, specific to Alithya’s CPP solution. You will assist with aligning business processes to EPM needs, breaking down EPM content for business users and leaders, testing around functional processes, outlining the reporting needs and ensuring the implementation of technical leading practices and its application by team members. Additionally, you will contribute to and understand Alithya’s unique intellectual property in CPP and assist clients and delivery teams with fit/gap principals and the configuration of that content.

  • Guide and advise clients on leading practices around:
    • the capital and programming request, prioritization, and approval leading practices;
    • capital budget setting and capital allocation to project portfolios;
    • project financial execution, including how to manage project financial health across a portfolio of projects;
    • project accounting and procurement, including the linkage between project budgets, authorizing a project, procurement, and accounting (understanding of project accounting, including fixed assets, CIP/WIP, depreciation, cash flow);
    • how to track and link internal resource time and labour (time sheets) to project accounting, health and forecasting.
  • Act as the planning techno-functional lead on all CPP projects;
  • Implement and lead or assist other consultants;
  • Create implementation standards for CPP project delivery;
  • Maintain and evolve the CPP solution, including:
    • the gold copy of code sets;
    • demo environments;
    • business process content;
    • implementation checklists;
    • the roadmap for enhancements and extended functionality.
  • Assist with CPP presales where technical insights are required, including the development of estimates and demonstration of the CPP accelerator.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or relevant experience;
  • Experience leading or participating in a capital programming process across the lifecycle throughout ideation, request prioritization, budget setting, project authorization and ongoing reporting;
  • Business process expertise in capital planning and strong techno-functional planning skills:
    • Implementation knowledge, skills, and experience of Oracle Cloud Planning, specific to Alithya’s CPP solution;
    • Working knowledge of supporting processes and Oracle EPM products for reporting and integration;
    • Functional knowledge of business processes related to the capital program lifecycle, including:
      • capital expenditures;
      • procurement;
      • project accounting;
      • fixed assets;
      • treasury.
  • Proven ability to:
    • use fit/gap design principles that facilitate the re-use of existing solutions;
    • work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Strong team player with leadership capabilities and proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment;
  • Ability to work independently and be accountable for results;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate solutions clearly to non-technical audiences:
    • Ability to articulate and guide clients across the capital lifecycle, including capital programming, project accounting and project execution (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Kahua) (asset).
  • Strong client-facing skills;
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills;
  • Detail oriented, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Flexibility to join required calls that may fall outside a normal workday (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) due to client time zones.
