Position Responsibilities

About the role:

• Building SaaS environment which include installing application, system & application configuration.
• Provision new SaaS customers by creating new databases & schemas, configuring application and report servers for Deltek Products.
• Deliver server maintenance for Deltek’s Cloud Professional Service Products, configuration changes and security configurations.
• Take ownership of product technical knowledge and create team processes and training materials.
• Coordinate with a globally distributed team to continually drive our application delivery projects to success.
• Provision of L3/L4 support to troubleshoot complex problems, provide software fault diagnosis and resolve operational issues.
• Ownership of vulnerability management and security audit requests.
• Show accountability in creating process improvement initiatives.
• Take responsibility for management of internal team projects to completion.
• Perform responsibilities of a Cloud Release Engineer to assist in application updates and upgrades as needed.
• Document system architectures, systems configurations, technical operational processes and playbooks.
• Create and maintain tools & automation.
• Adhering to a high standard in security protocol and procedures
  
  
  

Qualifications

Must-have skills/ experience:

• 5 years' experience in using various programming or scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python or similar well known language.
• 3 years' experience in using MSSQL, Oracle, or similar database system.
• Experience in creating simple to complex query, creating SQL scripts and creating stored procedure is required. For Vision and VantagePoint Products.
• Experience in running scripts and in back-up and restore is required for Maconomy Products.
• 3 years' experience in supporting any of the following fields:
• Enterprise customer-facing application, computing platforms and systems; or
• Operation, Automation, DevOps, Release Engineer, Service Reliability Engineer or similar field.
• L3 and L4 Application troubleshooting experience with ability to identify and document root cause of application issues.
• Experience in using public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or other similar cloud providers
• Specific Experience in using Azure, including:
• Experience with core Azure services, solutions, and management tools.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform
• Experience with Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Willing to work on permanent weekend day shift and amenable to changes on schedule depending on business needs.
  
  
  

Nice-to-have skills/ experience:

• Experience working in DevOps environment or knowledge in using devops tools or systems is an advantage.
• Experience using automated deployment technologies
• Experience with enterprise monitoring, management tools, ticketing tools, log management system.
• Diverse range of technical and operational interests and capabilities, including Microsoft Server, Internet Information Services (IIS), MySQL, SQL Server, SQL Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), virtualization, monitoring, automation technologies.

• Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements
• Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems
• Ability to capture process and create documentation.
