The MySQL Business Unit is looking for MySQL Solution Engineer, that helps our customers understand and use our MySQL products. We are looking for an expert in building a modern data platform with MySQL.
If you are familiar with typical data management solutions like relational databases, NoSQL databases, if you understand developer needs, are familiar with Java and/or Python, frameworks like Kubernetes, Ansible or Terraform, you should consider leveraging all this by helping some of the biggest companies in EMEA in adopting and optimizing their usage of MySQL.

Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of the MySQL Solution Engineering team focused on driving MySQL adoption.
- Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the opensource database market.
- Experience with account management (Enterprise, SMB and startup) and solution selling.
- Maintain strong database technical knowledge with the ability to go deep enough on technical aspects to differentiate between varied database approaches (relational, non-relational, in-memory, data warehousing, etc.)
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations, product demos, sample solutions, and discussions to drive awareness and adoption of MySQL.
- Identify leads for potential partnerships and customer opportunities in the MySQL community.
- Collaborating with internal teams to define the product road map and market positioning for MySQL offerings.
- Identify, drive, develop & support community user groups and developer program initiatives for MySQL
- Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology to client business. Facilitation of customer product understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
