Are you a proactive go-getter with a passion for cybersecurity and a knack for connecting with people? We are looking for a dynamic Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our lead qualification efforts, initiating essential conversations with key decision-makers. Your deep understanding of the challenges faced by small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and industry dynamics will be crucial as you book qualified appointments, manage scheduling, and maximize opportunities for our sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation: Use a mix of outbound calls, emails, social media, and industry events to find and qualify potential leads interested in cybersecurity solutions.
  • Prospecting: Research target industries, verticals, and personas to tailor your outreach strategies and engage effectively with decision-makers.
  • Outbound Outreach: Begin meaningful conversations with prospects to understand their cybersecurity challenges and position our solutions as their go-to choice.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of your interactions, activities, and opportunities in our CRM system to ensure smooth alignment with the sales team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to transition qualified leads and opportunities, providing insights and context to streamline the sales process.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to engage with prospects and address their evolving concerns effectively.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve or surpass monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, prospect engagement, and opportunity conversion to contribute to the overall success of the sales team.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales or business development.
  • Proficiency in consultative selling techniques and articulating the value of our offerings.
  • A customer-focused mindset and the ability to handle objections gracefully.
  • A collaborative approach and adaptability to changing environments.
  • Active and professional use of personal Facebook and LinkedIn pages (not separate profiles) for engaging with prospects.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: \(40,000 per year, with on-target earnings (OTE) of \)70,000+.
  • Commission-based compensation for quality appointments booked and clients closed.
  • $50 per quality call booked and seen.
  • 1% of total Closed Contract Value for each new client closed.
  • Benefits: Medical, vision, and dental coverage, 15 days of PTO, most national holidays, and an additional day after Thanksgiving, plus a 401(k) plan.

Location & Schedule

  • Hybrid position in Portland; candidates with proven remote sales experience from the West Coast (ideally near the SF Bay area or Pacific Northwest) may be considered for a fully-remote setup.
  • Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time.
  • Full-time role.
