Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our Specialty & New Business Development team as a National Account Executive. This role involves driving business growth while cultivating strong relationships with key customers. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Coffee Systems portfolio, Warehouse Direct Cold business, and Direct Store Delivery (DSD) business across selected customers.

In this position, you will balance managing established Department Specialty customers while leveraging your entrepreneurial spirit to secure and nurture new business opportunities. Your mission is to expand our presence in several channels including Home Improvement, Department and Kitchen Specialty, Value/Off-Price, and Outdoor Recreation, with a particular focus on developing relationships with top-tier retailers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve net sales and profit targets outlined in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the Coffee Systems and Department Specialty segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at established customers, including buyers, planners, and inventory analysts.
  • Drive multi-year growth strategies with current customers, ensuring alignment with both company goals and customer needs.
  • Develop and manage Joint Business Plans (JBP) in collaboration with cross-functional teams to effectively execute account plans.
  • Spearhead new business development initiatives, from program negotiation to customer onboarding and ongoing account management.
  • Lead omni-channel marketing initiatives tailored to specific retailers to drive brand growth and increase sales volume.
  • Maintain and update sales forecasts by collaborating with internal teams, using both internal and syndicated data to guide adjustments and ensure goals are exceeded.
  • Manage promotional plans within budget to optimize net sales and profit margins.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of sales experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, specifically working with national chain accounts and headquarters category buyers.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing annual operating plans and managing Joint Business Plans (JBP).
  • Strong ability to utilize syndicated data and solution-selling techniques to amplify growth.
  • A demonstrated track record in new business development across various channels and markets.
  • A self-starter dedicated to identifying and creating new revenue streams.

Location

This is a remote position, and while we welcome applicants from across the country, preference will be given to candidates located near Minneapolis, MN, Burlington, MA, or Frisco, TX.
