About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join our Backend Engineering team that powers the ecommerce experience. As a Senior TPM, you will work closely with product managers, executives, and business sponsors to deliver systems, process, and platform solutions to meet Hims & Hers business needs for our ecommerce platform and operations. You will also be instrumental in ensuring our backend systems are robust, scalable, and flexible for the needs of our growing, fast-paced business.

You Will:
  • Drive the execution and delivery of multiple complex technical programs that will deliver core capabilities that will power the ecommerce experience
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
  • Track and manage project risks, dependencies, status, and deliverable timelines
  • Ensure robust quality assurance and release management processes are in place
  • Lead planning, prioritization, and status meetings with stakeholders at a regular cadence
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders to drive project success
  • Drive continuous process improvements and best practices to create robust, predictable, and effective product delivery
  • Establish mechanisms to optimize team effectiveness
  • Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies
  • Identify impediments the team experiences and work with stakeholders to address them
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and impact
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on program status, progress, and outcomes
  • Own the communication and alignment of release dates
  • Collaborate with other technical program managers to highlight dependencies across various domains
You Have:
  • 8+ years in technical program management, preferably in a backend focused engineering environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex technical programs
  • Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in agile, scrum and lean development
  • Ability to dive deep into technical details and understand complex systems to drive effective decision-making
  • Strong understanding of engineering operations, including process optimization and best practices
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making and metrics-driven program management
  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Excellent skills in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Team player, collaborative, and positive attitude
  • Scrappiness & bias towards action
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing, oral, and presentation skills

An estimate of the current salary range for US-based employees is
$175,000$185,000 USD
