The Opportunity:
Alpha Lion is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee and enhance the daily operations of the company. This strategic role focuses on optimizing supply chain performance, ensuring product quality, and managing operational costs to support Alpha Lion’s growth and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, a passion for process improvement, and a keen ability to collaborate across functions to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals, focusing on procurement, production planning, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Set performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational activities, monitoring progress to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Manage budgets, including preparation and monitoring of operational costs, to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for potential investments in new technologies, systems, and processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to promote cross-functional collaboration and alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Prepare and generate regular reports on operational performance, including production efficiency, supply chain status, and cost management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage performance, and ensure alignment with the company’s operational goals and standards.
  • Develop a review and reporting process for evaluating potential supply and operational partners.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure products meet required standards and specifications.
  • Evaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, promoting continuous improvement in systems and processes.
  • Manage operational issues effectively, such as supply chain disruptions and quality control problems, and develop contingency plans to minimize impact.

  • Skilled in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts to support operational goals.
  • Experienced in quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficient in budget management and cost-reduction strategies, with a strong ability to track and analyze operational expenses.
  • Strong leadership skills, capable of managing cross-functional teams and promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Skilled in interpreting key performance metrics and using data to optimize processes and improve KPIs.
