Description

Vistra seeks an experienced Transformation Project Lead to provide expert business advisory services and consulting to the Veterans Benefits Administration's (VBA) Medical Disability Examination Office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in organizational transformation, business strategy, and process modernization, with a particular focus on supporting the VBA in achieving its strategic goals. This role requires a deep understanding of stakeholder engagement, organizational change management, and the development and assessment of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is highly preferred.


 Organizational Transformation:

  • Lead efforts to assess and implement organizational transformation initiatives within the Medical Disability Examination Office.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Business Strategy and Analysis:

  • Develop and refine business strategies that align with the goals and mission of the VBA's Medical Disability Examination Office.
  • Conduct thorough business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and modernization.

Objectives and Key Results (OKRs):

  • Develop, assess, and monitor OKRs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for setting measurable objectives and tracking progress toward key results.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including VBA leadership, Veterans Service Organizations, and other relevant parties.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.

Organizational Change Management:

  • Design and implement change management strategies to support organizational transformation initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.

Process Modernization:

  • Lead initiatives to modernize and streamline business processes within the Medical Disability Examination Office.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Consulting and Advisory Services:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the VBA's Medical Disability Examination Office, providing expert guidance on business strategy, process improvement, and organizational change.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and briefings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 Years of experience in business strategy, organizational transformation, and communications planning, with a strong focus on consulting and advisory services.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), particularly with the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA).
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Proven expertise in developing and accessing OKRs.
    • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and organizational change management.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead process modernization initiatives.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preferred Certifications:
    • Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP)
    • Prosci Change Management Certification
    • Lean Six Sigma Certifications (Green Belt, Black Belt)
