Description

The Treasury Specialist plays an important role in the organization by performing several tasks directly related to the company’s Treasury functions. The role is primarily responsible, under general to direct supervision, for receiving, logging, and distributing Finance’s mail on a daily basis. It also consists of researching and coding checks received by the cash management group. There are other accounting reports involved with this role. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Receive, Log, and distribute Finance’s mail on a daily basis.
  • Prepare daily cash position reports, organize cashflow support
  • On a weekly basis, prepare notes not sent to bank report.
  • Log and code checks received to the cash management group.
  • Conduct our pairoff settlement confirmation with brokers and submit wire requests (3 times a month)
  • Perform low activity bank/ liability reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Administer Appraisal payment sites (speedpay)
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, along with at least one year of total work experience in a related accounting support role. Prior experience in the mortgage industry and accounting systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with general accounting concepts and banking systems.
  • General knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with accounting tools and software, banking and imaging software.
  • Basic understanding of overall mortgage process.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and work well under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Prior experience using document retention software; AIQ preferred.
  • Ethical, with a commitment to company values. 1+ YOE in Accounting - reconciliations, tedious/detailed invoicing Strong Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, sum-ifs) Tech savvy - ability to work between multiple systems Very organized and strong attention to detail: Because they are monitoring warehouse lines and bank lines, they need to be really organized, handle multiple things at once, have strong communication with close with team Bach degree with 1+ YOE, or Associate's/diploma with 4-5+ YOE
