Outline of the job

Zinc seeks a Project Assistant to join our ‘Media Program in Armenia’ project in Yerevan and provide support to the Project Manager in day-to-day communication with the project’s team and stakeholders. The Project Assistant will be based in Yerevan, Armenia.

What you’ll be doing

-       Liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders, partner media outlets, and suppliers to support the delivery of project deliverables.

-       Take concise notes at project meetings and ensure the timely communication of agreed action points.

-       Carry out day-to-day administrative tasks such as data collection, classification and archiving.

-       Keep grant trackers and status documents up to date.

-       Where required, keep project mailing lists up to date.

-       Help with event planning and managing RSVPs.

-       Assist in organizing relevant workshops, trainings, and public events as planned.

-       Assist in the monitoring of media outlets’ progress.

-       Assist in writing Quarterly and Annual Reports and other project-related documentation.

-       Proofreading and editing.

-       Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

What we need from you…

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as digital media, communications, political sciences, organizational development, or social sciences.

Sharing our enthusiasm for measurable impact and data-driven insights, you are an excellent communicator with a deep passion for fostering media freedom and information integrity. You are highly motivated, with a strong commitment to democracy and independent media in Armenia. You also have a strong desire to learn and develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of project management, along with the soft skills necessary to work effectively as part of a team. You also have:

-       Good knowledge of the Armenian media environment.

-       An interest in international affairs, ongoing internal developments and democracy issues.

-       The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to manage multiple priorities.

-       A mindset that enables you to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

-       An attitude and aptitude for continuous learning, mentoring and professional development.

-       Excellent written and spoken English and Armenian to handle project documentation and to communicate effectively. 

-       Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with stakeholders and beneficiaries.

-       A strong sense of responsibility and a keen eye for detail.

-       Experience in the media and/or non-profit sector, and good knowledge of donor environment will be viewed as a plus.
