Role Summary

This role will be responsible for the day to day corporate income tax matters covering compliance, tax provision, tax forecasting, transfer pricing, audit, systems, and processes for GTT’s non US jurisdictions which are mostly in EMEA and APAC.  Position reports to the Head of Global Tax, based in London UK.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate filing of all corporate income tax returns and notifications (e.g. CIT, local transfer pricing, CbCR) including estimated payments.

Prepare / review of quarterly and annual income tax provision for all non US jurisdictions under US and local GAAP financial statements as required.

Support and partner with US tax team to prepare and review the Pillar 2 reporting obligations affecting the international jurisdictions

Manage transfer pricing reporting, compliance and planning aspects

Proactively manage the funding and capital structure of in scope entities and identify opportunities for regular program tax efficient management of intercompany balances

Maintain internal controls for income taxes in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley guidelines

Develop relationships with wider business in tax, finance, legal, treasury, HR, sales/procurement to support them with expert advice on corporate income tax matters.

Oversight of ad hoc reporting, compliance of employee rewards and benefits in kind  

Manage relationships with tax authorities and handle tax risk assessments, tax audits and enquiries.

Identify and mitigate tax risks as well as ensure policies and procedures align to governance requirements such as UK’s CCO.

Manage and lead a junior tax professional.

Continuously improve tax processes and controls.

Required experience / qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a related field; a professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA) is preferred.

+10 years Extensive practical and technical experience in corporate tax, in a multi-national corporation preferred, or international public accounting experience.

Strong analytical skills, focused on problem solving and attention to detail.

Excellent communication abilities.

Candidate must be able to work independently, be excellent team worker with minimal supervision to manage work under pressure to manage multiple due dates and deadlines.

General Ledger (G-L): Knowledge of tools, practices and considerations for general ledger; ability to update and validate general ledger data.

Tax Operations: Knowledge of tax practices and regulations; ability to prepare and file corporate tax and related tax returns / notifications and tax provision for all GTT’s non US jurisdictions.
