About the job

We are Fool’s Theory, a company from Bielsko-Biała in Poland, creators of the game Seven: The Days Long Gone and The Thaumaturge. We are actively seeking skilled individuals to join our team to work on The Witcher Remake, developed in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED studio. Sounds interesting? Get in touch with us!

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the design, art, and narrative teams to create believable character and creature movement.
  • Create expressive and character-driven animations for humans and creatures. which bring life and weight to the on screen performance.
  • Working with motion capture data.
  • Implementing created assets into Unreal Engine 5.
  • Performing iterative work on created animations, in order to improve their quality.
  • Feedbacking on the work of the animation team.
  • Maintaining animation pipeline.
  • Researching new technical solutions.
  • Mentoring the less experienced members of the team.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, both human and creature.
  • Proficient with Autodesk Maya.
  • Very good familiarity with Autodesk MotionBuilder.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 4 / 5.
  • Good sense of characters, anatomy, movement dynamics, forces and masses.
  • Experience implementing animations to state machines and adjusting them.
  • Keeping up with technological nuances in the field of animation.
  • Ability to create animations assets that are consistent with the artistic vision and quality of the project.
  • Ability to clearly convey constructive feedback.
  • Good communication skills and eager to work in group.
  • Problem-solving oriented.
  • Fluent English.
Nice to have
  • Rigging experience.
  • Scripting (MEL/Python) experience.
  • Ability to independently plan your own work and search for references.
