ABOUT THE ROLE

Associations International (AI) is an association management company based in Lexington, KY, who partners with non-profit trade and career associations. Our job is to help those non-profits meet their mission and grow their membership through the work of our talented, dedicated team. 


Our client partner, the International Coaching Federation (ICF), is seeking a Research and Engagement Manager to join the ICF Thought Leadership Institute (TLI) team. This role will be critical in coordinating internal and external stakeholders throughout the research process, developing and implementing an engagement strategy, and supporting communications, including social media and content creation. The Research and Engagement Manager will play a key role in preparing for the publication of ICF's first Annual Futures Report in January 2026, and will report to the Vice President of the Thought Leadership Institute (TLI).  


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

1. Stakeholder Management:

  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams and external partners, ensuring timely and efficient communication
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for coordinating research activities, including scheduling meetings, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation
  • Support the engagement of pre-existing communities run by other FOs through Engage to crowdsource signals of change, beginning with a pilot program and scaling as appropriate

2. Engagement Strategy Development:

  • Coordinate the development and execution of an engagement strategy utilizing the Engage community platform
  • Develop methods to engage internal and external audiences, including practitioners, researchers, and other stakeholders, to gather diverse perspectives and insights
  • Manage community engagement initiatives, including organizing virtual events, discussions, and collaborative projects

3. Content Creation and Social Media Management:

  • Take on social media responsibilities, including drafting newsletters, LinkedIn posts, and website copy
  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop content that aligns with the organization's goals and engages the target audience
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of social media campaigns and engagement efforts, making data-driven recommendations for improvement

4. Support for Annual Futures Report:

  • Assist in the research and content development for the Annual Futures Report, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and strategic objectives
  • Coordinate with contributors and subject matter experts to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content

5. Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in other related tasks as needed, including project management, data analysis, and administrative support
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in research and community engagement
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience with community engagement platforms, particularly Higher Logic, is a plus
  • Familiarity with research coordination and content creation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
