Illustrator (Freelance)

Summary

We are looking to hire an Illustrator to join us in our mission to educate the world. In this freelance role, the successful candidate shall be responsible for combining art, design, and creativity to develop ideas and produce original visual illustrations for a wide range of print and digital publication products.

Responsibilities

• Preparing rough drafts according to requirements
• Combining hand drawing and painting with digital media to create complete illustrations
• Using various colours, graphics, and effects to express each concept
• Developing character illustrations from concept and sketches to finished products
• Thinking creatively and using imagination to produce new ideas for displayed pictograms to help students understand the questions better
• Working on creating covers for children’s books
• Ensuring that illustrations meet the quality and colour standards
• Staying up to date with new design techniques and software

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in design, visual arts, or a relevant field
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Excellent drawing skills (both by hand and digital pen)
• A portfolio with an outstanding body of work that demonstrates experience in illustrating
