Purpose of Job

Lead and manage the planning, organization, and execution of key national events, such as The Alpha Conference and A Night with Alpha, requiring both travel and on-the-ground management. This role supports the National Director in ensuring consistency in data, follow-up, and communication strategies across all live experiences. It involves training and coaching Events Specialists to implement best practices, while embodying the culture of radical hospitality, active listening, and reliance on the Holy Spirit.
Responsibilities (included but not limited to)
  • Organize and execute The Alpha Conference (annual national event) and A Night with Alpha. Requires travel and on-the-ground management of this event.
  • Support National Director to ensure data, follow up and communication strategies are consistent for all Live Experiences
  • Provide support for the planning, organizing and executing of other live events (may require travel where on-the-ground support is needed).
  • Train and coach Events Specialists to ensure Events best practices are being carried out
  • Responsible for carrying the culture of radical hospitality, listening and dependence on the Holy Spirit into every experience
  • Work closely with internal departments on events, advocating for project interests and to identify and recruit high level, influential guests to extend events.
  • Serve as main point of contact for any/all potential event guests.
  • Create, update, maintain and troubleshoot guest registration systems/processes and event(s) webpage(s) according to best practices.
  • Interact and liaise with vendors (caterers, restaurants, hotels, airlines, etc.) to provide options and finalize logistics for events.
  • Provide ‘post-event’ follow up to include next steps for guests, hand-off to appropriate relationship manager, input information into Salesforce (CRM).
  • Actively monitor and report on events’ status to key decision makers to meet targets.
  • Budget oversight and administration where needed
  • Support and share the Alpha story, demonstrating the mission and values of Alpha culture

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Previous events and/or project management experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Independent, self-starter with the ability prioritize workload
  • Strong computer skills and is proficient with technology including social media
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and hospitality
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Alpha experience is preferred
Desirable Characteristics
  • Embodies Alpha DNA (prayer, invitation, hospitality, etc.)
  • Adheres to Alpha Staff Operating Values (see link)
Key Results
  • Generate one annual inspirational and equipping Conference that draws 2000 people each year and generates at least 200 leads
  • Generate 1-2 annual virtual experience oriented around annual re-cap, including conference, and product launch that inspires, equips and activates more people to Run alpha. Generating increases in leads, churches organizations and individuals (COIs) running Alpha and COIs running in more than one context.
  • Deliver systems and procedures created for National Events best practices
  • Develop and Maintain sponsorship relationships securing 30-50k annually
