Senior Accountant (Work From Home)

This is a remote position.

The client seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
  
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  
• Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  
• Assist with audits and tax preparation as needed. 
  
• Provide support and training to junior accounting staff.
  
• Implement and maintain accounting systems and processes to ensure efficient operations.
  
• Collaborate with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored accounting solutions.
  
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local accounting and tax regulations.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a CPA or bookkeeping firm in a full-charge bookkeeping capacity.
  
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
  
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Availability to work night shifts.
