Job description

Launched in 2017, North Star is an independent media group running 20+ media brands in 35+ countries. Our clients are mainly operators in the betting and gambling industry.

M&A and Partnerships play a strategic role in the company’s expansion, both in mature & new markets. We are 85 sports fans running an international sports media group.

A few figures about our portfolio of websites, which cover sports including football, boxing, MMA, e-sports, basketball and more.

In a 6-person team, you would report to the Head of M&A and Partnerships.

Your key objective is reaching out to potential targets for acquisitions and partnerships. You will be involved in the whole process, from target lead generation to analysis (SEO, valuation), closing, and integration.

 More specifically, you will :

    • Generate target leads using company tools
    • Reach out to leads using multiple channels e.g. mail, call, LinkedIn
    • Follow up diligently with your leads and keep track of every interaction in CRM (Salesforce)
    • Assist team in creating marketing materials
    • Assist team in performing asset analysis (e.g. SEO, tech, legal) and valuations supporting negotiations
    • Coordinate with other departments


The mergers and acquisitions team is crucial to the growth and success of North Star, and you will play a key role in the company’s growth.

Profile 

✅ Deal-maker and problem-solving mindset

✅ Proactive and taking pride in advancing situations

✅ Strong digital culture, and ideally, familiar with these tools: Asana, Notion, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Similarweb, and Ahrefs.

✅ Experience in reaching out to targets or prospects

✅ Exceptional communication skills in English + Spanish and/or Portuguese. Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.

✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines

✅ Keen on sports and having knowledge of the sports industry is a plus

✅ Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

Status

  • Salary: Attractive base plus uncapped variable related to deals closed and other KPIs
  • Profit sharing program (CDI only)
