*THIS IS A 100% US-BASED REMOTE POSITION*

Centric Software provides enterprise software applications in the fast-moving consumer goods market to manage, optimize, and execute business processes. Our software solutions help our customers take their products from concept to production and, in between manage their materials, sourcing, quality, and pricing on their way to producing their final catalog.

We are constantly innovating, both in terms of the functionality that we offer our users and in the technology that we use for our applications.  We are adding a Performance Engineer to our team to provide product performance and reliability testing and solutions around our Enterprise and SaaS software offerings.

Your focus will be:

  • Own the technical design of the automation technologies required for globally deploying and maintaining operating platform infrastructure.
  • Implementing solutions for collecting, processing, aggregating, and displaying real-time quantitative service data.
  • Perform capacity planning and work with Technical Leadership to anticipate performance issues before they occur.
  • Monitor and trend production performance and help resolve production issues in real-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate the performance of multi-tier enterprise Java-based applications. 
  • Write monitoring and data extraction tools in Java, Javascript, and/or Unix Shell. 
  • Work closely with the engineering and architecture teams to make informed, collaborative technical decisions.
  • Work with container architecture and technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps to develop full test automation and continuous integration and delivery.  

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology
  • Expertise in performance engineering fundamentals like workload models, load generation, queueing models, scalability, and TPS.
  • Good working knowledge of JMeter.
  • Proficient with Java/JavaScript code, including knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • SQL, SQL Server 2019.
  • Oracle.
  • Experience writing monitoring and data extraction tools in Java/JavaScript and Unix Shell. 
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DataDog, Splunk, and/or AppDynamics.
  • Familiarity with Jenkins,  AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Initial knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Results-oriented and self-driven.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-learner and hard worker.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $160,000 + benefits.  Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location.  The range for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training.  Please note that the compensation details listed reflect base salary and certain positions may be offered additional variable incentives.
