Your Impact:
Pearce is seeking a
GE LOTO Certified Field Service Wind Technician, with a commitment to excellence, strong desire to succeed and learn new skills utilizing established procedures, with the highest regard for health, safety, and environmental compliance. As a Field Service Wind Technician III, you will carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, minor service, and/or repairs to wind turbine generators and related equipment and facilities.
This position is 100% travel.
Core Responsibilities
- Conduct maintenance of equipment (fueling, lubrication, etc.)
- Operate a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee handbook and insurance requirements.
- Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) as required to maintain a safe working environment.
- Complete and maintain required company and client documentation and records, using computer-based service reporting tools and procedures.
- Perform other daily work requirements as directed by supervisor with general supervision.
Core Experience
- Current GE LOTO Certification (required) Preventative Maintenance and Tech essential.
- GWO certified (preferred).
- Experience as a team lead and tower lead.
- Work within confined space areas, such as inside a wind turbine nacelle.
- Knowledge of GE platforms.
- Work meets customer and company standards required of position and job, including following project schedules.
Physical/Work Environment
At Pearce safety is our number one concern. Candidates must be able to comply with OSHA/DOT Standards.
- Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet.
- Maintain a weight between 120 and 280 pounds, including clothing and boots, for OSHA safety compliance.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (more than 50 pounds).
- Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses.
