Job Description

We help our Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare clients understand their businesses through building models, reviewing models and data analytics. You will work on some of the most exciting projects in KPMG, primarily using Excel to deliver high quality, flexible and bespoke analytics and modelling solutions. If you enjoy translating complex problems into models, this is the team for you.

As part of the Financial Modelling Senior Manager role:

• You will contribute to and drive the growth and development of the modelling team
• You will lead large complex projects, applying technical skills to devise compelling and well thought out modelling-based solutions to complex problems
• You will build constructive working relationships to develop internal and external networks
• You will leverage existing managerial experience and leadership skills to help grow and develop the modelling team
• You will build strong client relationships and effectively take propositions to market
• You will manage teams of modellers and other professionals to provide high quality and flexible modelling solutions for a diverse range of clients
• You will be responsible for end-to-end engagement and stakeholder management
• You will use existing modelling skills to support delivery, develop capabilities and share knowledge on solutions and best practice techniques
• You will support the professional development of junior team members, helping to guide their career development and contributing towards organising training
• You will contribute to our business development initiatives and be an integral part of the sales team
• You will have the opportunity to work closely with teams across all functions within KPMG, such as Finance Transformation, Operational Transformation, People Consulting, Cyber, Deals, Tax, Financial Management and Regulatory & Compliance Services
  
  
  

To be successful in your application for the Financial Modelling Senior Manager role you will have:

• Experience in a senior management role managing projects, clients, and senior stakeholders
• Experience in developing new strategy and propositions to generate business
• Advanced Excel skills, preferably with some VBA and data visualisation experience
• Experience scoping, designing, and building financial models
• Experience in application of best-practice modelling
• Strong communication skills to be able to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical way
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience in building and maintaining strong working relationships across a range of teams and fosters an environment in which everyone’s opinion is valued
• Experience in performance management and developing & retaining talent
• Provides on-going feedback, coaching and mentoring that supports individuals’ development needs and career aspirations
• Proactively engages in cross-functional communications and sharing of information.
• Understanding of financial and accounting concepts or project finance (e.g., debt structures, cash waterfalls, financial ratios)
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritising workload, and providing a high level of client service at all times
  
  
  

Desirable Experience:

• A recognised finance or accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/CFA or similar) is desirable
• Completion of a recognised financial modelling course
• Consulting experience
• Data visualisation experience in Power BI, QlikView or Tableau
