Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical bedside care, excellent communication skills, leadership experience, and a thorough experience and understanding of pathophysiology. This role will be responsible for overseeing the transcription team, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of transcribed medical records, and maintaining high standards of documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of medical transcriptionists, providing guidance and support.
- Review and edit transcribed medical documents for accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Ensure timely delivery of transcribed reports
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and practices.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure high standards of transcription.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in medical documentation.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the transcription team to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Manage workflow and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Over all 5-10 Years of experience in clinical and healthcare field
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical bedside experience.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of pathophysiology and medical terminology.
- Proficient in the use of transcription software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
