WHO we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (SaaS) to join the Runtime Platform Group and be responsible for building the FedRAMP-authorized environment for U.S. Federal Government projects.

You will be on a team building a secure, compliant SaaS platform for Federal government-led construction projects. This will involve modifying cloud-native applications and services to run in a dedicated environment that meets all controls for, and is authorized for use at, the FedRAMP Moderate level. You will report to the Runtime Platform Software Architect and will be based remotely within the Continental United States.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to build, deploy, and document the applications and services necessary to run our SaaS platform in an AWS Govcloud region.
  • Continually ensure our processes and results comply with the FedRAMP Moderate level of controls.
  • Update existing applications, services, and tools to comply with FedRAMP requirements for FIPS 140 encryption, change control processes, and audit requirements.
  • Develop new tools and processes as needed to support FedRAMP requirements for security and auditability.
  • Engineer resilient systems that support 24x365 uptime at a 99.95% availability level.
  • Build and test disaster recovery mechanisms for systems and data.
Required Experience and Education:
  • 6+ years software development experience, at least some of which are in a moderate-to-large-scale environment (>1000 hosts, petabytes of data).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficient with Ruby on Rails, Typescript, and React.
  • Familiar with Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Experience with AWS cloud environments and Terraform is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud observability, logging, and telemetry.
  • Experience working in an Agile Environment.

Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity.

Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. May require working additional time beyond normal schedule and periodic travel.
