Product, Engineering and Support:
  • Spearhead and implement strategies with product, engineering, business development, and support teams.
  • Offer comprehensive legal guidance throughout the product life cycle, from conception through to launch, operation, and eventual sunset, aiding in both the construction and, when necessary, the dismantling of products.
  • Provide day-to-day legal, business, and strategic advice to executive and non-executive teams, addressing challenges and offering solutions in the development and implementation of groundbreaking product roadmaps.
  • Engage cross functionally to implement effective collaboration strategies with marketing and design teams.
  • Develop and deliver both forward-looking and ad hoc guidance to the marketing and design teams regarding matters pertaining to the product lifecycle and other related initiatives.
  • Establish or continue to build strong and positive relationships with affiliates and other ecosystem players for effective product lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6-10+ years of post-law school graduation experience, including at least 3 years in technology-related law firm practice at a v50 big law firm.
  • Currently licensed as a U.S. attorney and holding a J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.

  • Knowledgeable in a wide array of international laws, regulations, and frameworks relevant to payments/financial services, internet technology, and crypto, including banking regulations, money transmission laws, securities regulations, GDPR, BSA, CFPB, CFTC, FTC (including UDAAP), and more.
  • Ability to make sound legal judgments, applying analytical rigor, prudent risk assessment, and a mix of creativity and pragmatism as necessary.
  • Comfortable with risk-adjusted thinking and able to discern when flexibility in interpretation is warranted.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Interest in digital assets, blockchain technology, and the innovations brought about by decentralized applications, web3, and DeFi.
