Volunteer Treasurer for a live music / education CIC. | Hot Jam

Hot Jam run creative music projects. We help young people express themselves through songwriting, recording and performance. We are searching for an experienced treasurer to help us continue our work.

You will be supporting an emerging, exciting CIC in their mission to help people realise their potential and make music with others. We are a small group so our board of trustees are vital to the success of our operation. As treasurer you will have a direct impact on the company’s smooth running. This is a vital role, we need someone to keep us on track financially and plan our vision for the future. As a trustee you will have a direct impact on the company’s smooth running, helping to steer us on to further success.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has the following skills and experiences The ability to prepare the annual financial reports required by companies’ house and the CIC regulator. Some financial management so they can work with the board to oversee the CIC’s finances. The ability to work effectively with a team and to take decisions where needed. An interest in the arts and a passion for music and creativity.

What will you be doing?

Hot Jam Music is a young CIC in an exciting period of development. Incorporated in 2020, our board are exploring the ways we can work with and support young people through music, as we emerge from the Covid Pandemic. We are looking for someone to join our team as treasurer. The main responsibilities are To oversee the financial management of the CIC. To file and maintain the company's accounts. Liaise with the Chair and Secretary on any appropriate financial matters. To work effectively as a member of our team and to help steer the company's direction.
