As a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployment processes, monitor system performance, and optimize the reliability and availability of our services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our customers' needs.

What you will do
  • Infrastructure Design & Implementation: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on GCP using best practices and modern DevOps principles.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Develop, optimize, and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure fast and reliable software releases.
  • Automation: Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar. Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Monitoring & Incident Management: Set up, configure, and maintain monitoring and alerting systems using tools like Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, etc. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance the reliability, performance, and efficiency of cloud resources.
  • Security: Implement and enforce security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), network security, and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with software development teams to ensure that applications are designed for reliability, scalability, and performance in a cloud environment.
  • Documentation & Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, processes, and procedures. Mentor junior engineers and conduct training sessions as needed.  

  • What you need to be successful
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related role with a focus on cloud infrastructure. Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Run, etc.).Strong experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager, or similar.
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and cloud-native design principles.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
