Job description

The M13 Launchpad is assembling a founding team to take to market breakthrough technology poised to revolutionize the travel industry. 

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to join us as the Founder & CEO of Score Travel. You will lead our company through its inception, growth, and beyond. This is an unparalleled opportunity to shape the future of travel and leave a lasting impact on the industry.

As a Founder supported by M13 Launchpad, you will be armed with the tools and resources to quickly get to market and begin an iterative testing and validation process. Critical partnerships, industry relationships, and the power of M13’s propulsion platform (daily operational and strategic support) make this a unique opportunity to build into a large and rapidly growing market.

As Founder & CEO, you will be responsible for:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and articulate a clear vision and strategy for Score Travel that is aligned with market trends and customer needs. Lead the execution of this strategy, making critical decisions to drive the company's success.
  • Team Building & Management: Recruit, inspire, and empower a world-class team to execute the company's vision. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, ensuring every team member is motivated and engaged.
  • Product Development: Oversee the development of innovative travel products and services that differentiate Score Travel in the market. Based on customer feedback and industry insights, continuously iterate and improve our offerings.
  • Market Positioning & Branding: Define and execute effective marketing and branding strategies to establish Score Travel as a leader in the travel industry. Build strong relationships with partners, customers, and stakeholders to drive awareness and adoption of our brand.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the company's financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and fundraising activities. Ensure that Score Travel achieves its financial goals and maintains a sustainable growth trajectory.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges facing the company and develop strategies to mitigate them. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive threats that could impact Score Travel's success.
  • Customer Experience: Prioritize delivering exceptional customer experiences at every touchpoint, from booking to post-travel support. Champion a customer-centric mindset throughout the organization, driving loyalty and advocacy among our customer base.

  • Experience & Qualifications:
  • A veteran leader who has experience building and running successful organizations, ideally as a GM or C-level executive
  • Passionate about delivering a better travel booking experience
  • A culture builder who can create an environment of trust, inclusion, and mutual respect that helps bring out the best in others
  • Passionate about being a Founder - comfortable wearing many hats and working in the details as you build out your team; and ready to create a compelling vision to inspire others to join you on your journey
  • Curious, creative, and a big-picture thinker who can both ideate on strategy and execute against that
  • You bring a breadth of leadership experience in hiring and building teams, owning a P&L, and externally representing a brand
  • You have proven ability to operate with tenacity and agility, moving easily to address new challenges and opportunities, with limited structure and budget 
  • A deep curiosity combined with a learning mindset
  • A relentless focus on consumer needs and experience
  • An experienced leader in the travel industry is strongly preferred
