Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Calculator Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for rebuilding Excel-based calculators using our established infrastructure, ensuring they meet patient safety requirements and function seamlessly within a shared documentation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rebuild and refactor existing Excel-based nursing calculators within the Care Team calculators service line infrastructure.
  • Study and recreate calculator logic from existing Excel calculators, ensuring alignment with current operational use.
  • Utilize Strapi for content management, Trisotech for documenting calculator logic using DMN and FEEL, and Azure DevOps for UI and API testing.
  • Develop JSON-based FHIR questionnaires using provided code snippets.
  • Author DMN models according to general specifications to fit within the calculator build use case.
  • Write mustache code to control calculator output.
  • Define test cases, build and run test suites, and perform regression testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of calculators.
  • Collaborate with the nursing-led prioritization team to identify and prioritize calculators for redevelopment.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing healthcare calculators or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in using Strapi, Trisotech, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with building JSON-based FHIR questionnaires.
  • Strong understanding of DMN models and their application in calculator logic.
  • Ability to write and manage mustache code for controlling outputs.
  • Experience in defining test cases and conducting thorough testing, including regression testing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Strapi and Trisotech is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare environment, particularly in patient safety-related projects.
