Key Functions
Data Processing, Analysis and Visualization
- Use data in various ways throughout the data pipeline, including data mining, data management, statistical analysis, and data presentation.
- Performs data analysis tasks on a variety of projects that include
analysis, integration and interpretation of NanoString, 10X genomics, including RNA, DNA, Protein and metabolite measurement, and other experimental data in the setting of the tumor microenvironment.
- Develops, applies, and provides bioinformatics software and computational tools to researchers
- Works closely with other members of the team to understand data processing challenges and provide custom solutions for spatial and single cell sequencing realting to gene expression, proteomics, metabolomics and pathway analyses to expedite scientific projects and drug discovery process
- Develops and deploys prototype algorithms and parallel processing
methods, analyze data, integrate different data types, evaluate results, and effectively presents them to team members
Project Development
- Consistently develops and customizes software applications
according to project specific needs
Research
- Searches literature and investigate emerging data analysis tools and technologies; recommends, schedules, and performs software
improvements and upgrades.
- Data mine internal and external sites, including converting raw data into usable and manageable format, preparing data for storage and analysis.
- Provide data, conduct literature research, and synthesize information for publications, presentations, grants, and awards.
- Prepare data for presentations, annual reports and other internal and external ad hoc reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistic, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration, Statistic, Healthcare Administration or related field.
Experience
Required: Five years' experience in data analysis. With preferred degree, three years' experience in data analysis.
