About the role

The Project Manager will be initially responsible for the successful delivery of projects through, the design, construction and handover phases working alongside Clients, Stakeholders and construction professionals. Who will support in the delivery of multiple projects, primarily (but not exclusively) in the fields of Education, Health, Energy, Regeneration, Leisure & Retail through all facets of the design, construction and handover phases.

  • Work closely with JV Partners and Clients to deliver agreed project objectives.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with principal parties to the project.
  • Organise, chair and record project meetings with JV Partners / Clients / Contractors as required.
  • Liaise with and oversee the input of the Tier 1 Contractors in line with any supply chain agreements / project metrics.
  • Ensure all projects are developed and delivered in a manner compliant with the processes contained with partnering project agreements, project assurance approaches and agreed commercial positions taking specific cognisance of the need to achieve agreed KPI’s and Continuous Improvement Targets.
  • Where required, manage the delivery of multiple projects which may be at differing stages of their development.
  • Preparation of project gateway submissions (at RIBA 2 & RIBA4) to client for approval, both quality and commercial.
  • Ensure the project is operated wholly in accordance with good HS&E practice generally, and specifically in accordance with the Construction Design & Management Regulations and be familiar with current legislation.
  • Provide regular reports to JV Partners and/or Clients (Participants) as required.
  • Work with the project team at all stages to identify, capture and manage risks.
  • Acting as JV Partners representative and managing the construction phase of the project through to practical completion
  • Management of instructions from Client / JV Partners to the Contractors

 

What we need from you

You’ll already be qualified to Degree level in Construction or Civil Engineering or have a trade background within construction.   With demonstratable leadership & management experience within the construction industry.  Ability to supervise projects from inception to completion, whilst exemplifying our commitment to Health & Safety, and ensuring quality and best practice will be second nature to you.
