Job description

This role is responsible for evaluating and managing property damage claims related to auto accidents. This involves assessing damage to vehicles, setting up appraisals, determining repair costs, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with insurance policies and regulations. Familiarity or some experience with non-complex BI and/or PIP claims handling is a big plus! Must be available to work 8am - 5pm Mountain time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Verify and explain coverages, conduct liability investigations, and advise customers of your liability decision.
  • Review and inspect vehicle damage reports, repair estimates, and other relevant documentation to determine the extent of property damage.
  • Manage the entire claims process, from initial contact to final settlement, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims.
  • Keep an up-to-date diary ensuring all claims are handled in a timely manner.
  • Set initial reserves and adjust as appropriate as more information is available.
  • Negotiate settlements with claimants, repair shops, and other parties involved to ensure fair and equitable outcomes.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all claim-related activities, including inspection reports, correspondence, and settlement agreements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining coverage details, and resolving issues related to property damage claims.
  • Ensure all claims handling practices adhere to company standards, state regulations, and fair claims practices

QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Capability to train and perform the job remotely & meet our work from home requirements
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience adjusting auto insurance property damage claims.
  • Familiarity with auto insurance policies, repair procedures, and industry standards.
  • Have a passion for providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in ways that the customer easily understands
  • Possess empathy, adaptability, time management, and organizational skills
  • Diffuses emotional customer situations effectively and recognizes when to escalate
  • Familiarity with various insurance data bases (ISO/Verisk) and compliance reporting (OFAC, Medicare)
  • Basic typing and computer knowledge
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

Salary Range: 50,000 to 55,000 annually, DOE
