JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Volunteer Service Specialist Date: March 4, 2024

Full-Time or Part-time: Full-Time Department: National Events and Membership

Reports To:Member Service & Event System Supervisor Employment Category: Hourly/NonExempt


Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing member service calls for the NWTF. This position will work with various departments to ensure all calls are answered and responded to in a timely manner. Provides training and assistance for Event Management System and support to the field staff team and volunteers before, during and after their fundraising events. The Event Management System is an online event platform used by Field Staff and volunteers to manage events including ticket sales, silent and live auction sales and membership collection. This position will assist volunteers with membership exports from Event Management System, ensuring all data is properly reported and in the correct format to be processed.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

None


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handles all Member Service calls
  • Develop expert knowledge of all departments within the organization to efficiently and effectively manage calls 
  • Event Management System assistance to staff and volunteers before, during and after their events
  • Assist Regional Directors and Volunteers to ensure all membership information is captured and reported in order to better service our members.
  • Once all data is properly entered into the membership template, upload the data to the associated event  
  • Assist with handling Preferred Vendor orders/payments as processes are developed
  • Attend and work annual NWTF Convention, regional meetings and training opportunities, as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned
Requirements

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Customer Service Relationship skills

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three years customer service experience required. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

Remote or Telecomm Status:

  • Position can work remotely subject to in-office work as required.
