Position Summary
The Strategic Alliances Manager provides account management and customer service to a robust portfolio of major donors, corporate partners, foundations, association and media partners, small businesses, clubs and in-kind partners to ensure contractual obligations are met by both parties, that communications and information is flowing, that colleagues at TechForce are organized and delivering against promises, that the partners are activating the relationship, and that the spirit of the alliance is being achieved annually for all parties. This position serves as ‘air-traffic-control’ and point person for assigned accounts. The Strategic Alliance Manager uses fundraising, donor cultivation and stewardship, marketing and employee engagement knowledge to implement and maximize relationships. As the face of the relationship, engages with executives and high net-worth individuals to build confidence and trust in the partnership. Works to nurture relationships and trust that result in the renewal and upsell of these partners’ financial commitments annually.
Principle Accountabilities & Deliverables
? Provides exceptional account management and customer service to a portfolio of assigned individual, corporate, small business, foundation, association, clubs and groups and media partnerships to ensure contractual obligations are met, communications and information is flowing, partners are activating, and that the spirit of the alliance is being achieved by both parties so that the partnerships are renewed year after year.
? Leverages relationship-building, marketing and fundraising skillset to interact with partner point-persons in a way that builds confidence and trust in the partnership. Proactively offers solutions, ideas for continuous improvement, and works collaboratively with colleagues to ensure partnerships activation across all channels.
? Keeps excellent records in CRM on each partners’ strategic goals, renewal dates, points of contacts, etc. and on each partner liaisons’ individual contact record so that the CRM is kept accurate and history on the partnerships is recorded.
? Works internally with colleagues, including the marketing, school partnership and scholarship teams, to ensure deliverables are met. Manages and tracks contracts, renewal dates, and ensures the CEO’s reviews and approves draft contracts.
? Prepares presentations for new and renewed partnerships.
? Works to nurture at least 5 contacts within each assigned partnership and connect those contacts with other TechForce staff and/or board members so that the alliance enjoys numerous champions within the organization and is more insulated from turnover.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Education / Experience
? Bachelor’s degree required.
? Minimum two years’ work experience in nonprofit fundraising or corporate relations, or in purpose-driven account management, sales, marketing or business development.
? Desire to build a career in nonprofit development highly preferred.
? Track record in cultivating/building relationships with the perseverance, gravitas and panache required to be successful is highly desired.
? Experience with either the transportation industry or career and technical education is highly desired.

? Proven ability to build relationships and earn the respect of donors required.
? Knowledge of fundraising or corporate relations lingo, and marketing prowess.
? Excellent account management skills, attention to details and professional follow through required.
? Engaging, extroverted communication approach and professional style of tact and diplomacy.
? Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
? Ability to inspire, motivate, cultivate and nurture a variety of relationships.
? Ability to negotiate and secure support from donors.
? Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; recognized as a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills; excellent public speaking skills.
? Demonstrated experience in solicitation, cultivation, stewardship and account management strategies.
? Possesses the business savvy and sophistication required to influence executives and high net-worth individuals.
? Experienced in Microsoft Office programs and CRMs.

Work Environment
? Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and/or from a home-based office.
? Up to 10% travel within the United States may be required.
