Job Description:
FirstPrinciples is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Partnerships/Outreach Manager to spearhead our global collaboration efforts with leading theoretical physics institutes, foundations, industry players, policymakers, and other key stakeholders. This role is crucial in building and maintaining strategic partnerships that align with our mission of advancing scientific research and making a global impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Partnership Development:

• Identify and establish partnerships with leading theoretical physics institutes, large-scale scientific collaborations, foundations, industry players, and other key stakeholders globally.
• Develop and execute strategies to collaborate on media, technology, and analytics projects.
• Foster long-term relationships with funders and key stakeholders to explore collaborative opportunities and joint initiatives.

Collaborative Projects:

• Partner with global physics institutes to produce and promote media content, including interviews with leading physicists, showcasing groundbreaking research, and contributing to the FirstPrinciples Hub and News section.
• Position FirstPrinciples as a thought leader in the field by contributing to content that highlights emerging trends and key insights in theoretical physics and scientific collaboration globally.
• Collaborate on technology projects by onboarding partners into our tools and solutions that enhance research capabilities.
• Engage with institutes on analytics projects that navigate the global funding ecosystem and leverage local data to measure research outcomes.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, industry players, international alliances, and other key stakeholders to advance FirstPrinciples’ mission and goals.
• Represent FirstPrinciples at global conferences, workshops, and events to enhance visibility and foster new partnerships.
• Advocate for the importance of theoretical physics research and collaboration at global forums, influencing policy and funding decisions that support scientific advancement.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and implement outreach strategies that align with FirstPrinciples’ long-term goals and objectives.
• Monitor and analyze trends in theoretical physics, funding opportunities, and collaboration models to inform and guide strategic decisions.

Global Research Infrastructure:

• Establish and maintain relationships with organizations that support the global research infrastructure, such as ORCID, Crossref, ROR, arXiv, and similar platforms.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate and leverage these platforms to support academic research and enhance the visibility of scientific work.
• Stay informed about developments in research infrastructure technologies and advise on their strategic implementation to support FirstPrinciples’ mission.

Communication & Presentation:

• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and reports to potential partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the FirstPrinciples media and communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all outreach activities.
• Support efforts to secure external funding by identifying and prioritizing funding opportunities, and actively contributing to grant and proposal writing.

Qualifications:
Educational Background:

• PhD in Physics with a strong academic and research background.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in academia, research institutes, or private foundations, with meaningful exposure to business development, partnerships, or outreach roles preferred.
  Proven track record of successfully building and maintaining partnerships within the scientific community

Skills:

• Strong understanding of the global theoretical physics landscape, including key institutions, funding bodies, and emerging research trends.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and compellingly to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in negotiation and relationship management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
