Job description

Senior Audit Associate (Non Profit/Affordable Housing) - Remote - CPA Firm

A premier public accounting firm located in the San Francisco Bay Area is looking to hire a Senior Audit Associate with Non Profit and/or Affordable Housing clients to their growing team. This individual will lead the CAS+ division for clients locally and across the country.

Responsibilities:

Prepare financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as needed and documenting; validating, testing and assessing various control systems;
Utilize their knowledge of GAAS principles and apply them to engagements;
Develop and apply their knowledge of auditing theory to various client situations;
Complete all appropriate documentation of work papers;
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations;

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on external audit and assurance services
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Strong knowledge of accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS etc)
Affordable Housing and/or Non Profit clients are required
