Senior Backend Developer at Voicemod

About the role 💡

As a Senior NodeJS Backend Developer, you will spearhead server-side logic, database management, and ensure optimal performance and responsiveness to frontend requests and client-side agents. Collaborate closely with our DevOps team to scale our infrastructure and services globally within our platform.

We are looking for someone who can work on the GMT - GMT +2 timezone.

What you'll do 💼

• Develop robust backend microservices that integrate seamlessly with frontend functionality and client-side agents.
• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to capture requirements and design innovative features.
• Optimise application services for speed, scalability, and stability.
• Implement stringent security protocols, data protection measures, and efficient storage solutions.
• Design and deploy data storage solutions and integrate and unit test application services for quality assurance.
• Create reusable code and libraries.

What you'll need ✅

• Proficient in English (Minimum B2, Ideal C1+).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong preference for microservices architecture.
• Proven track record in developing and consuming REST API Services, using SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Expertise in writing clean, efficient code, leveraging design patterns, DDD, and Clean architecture principles.
• Solid understanding and application of testing methodologies like TDD and SOLID principles.
• Proficiency in Docker containers, Kubernetes, Git version control, and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience using data monitoring and analysis tools to optimize system performance.
• Ability to write clean, readable, and reusable code, debug errors, and mitigate potential security risks.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to tackle challenges hands-on.
• High standards across your work, collaboration, and project involvement.
• A passion for continuous learning and growth, aligned with Voicemod's mission, products, and technology.

Bonus Points 🦄

• Strong knowledge of Elastic Search.
• Passion for audio, music, recording, or sound.

Hiring process ⚙️

Our interview process takes place on Google Meet and tends to consist of the following stages:

• 1️⃣ TA Team - Validate details and experience. Tell you more about Voicemod (45min).
• 2️⃣ Hiring Manager - Give you a job overview and go deeper on your professional experience (60min).
• 3️⃣ Peer Technical Assessment - Live coding session with our team to explore your technical skills further (up to 60 min).
• 4️⃣ Final Interview - Last conversation focused on soft skills and team strategy (50min).
