Job description

We are looking for a student assistant to join the R&D Test team at Hempel headquarters in Lyngby, Denmark. In R&D, our main tasks are to prepare, test and analyze painted samples to evaluate their durability. We take pride in our scientific evaluations, operational efficiency and high quality work.

We expect you to be passionate about producing high quality scientific data. It would be great if you have systematic mindset to organize your work efficiently. As part of the job, you will be involved in storing the teams generated data in our systems and assisting with practical laboratory tasks such as performance tests and maintenance. You will be joining a team of 9 colleagues. We work in an informal environment with straight forward communication, and plenty of room for learning on the job.

Working hours will be 15-20 hours per week with high flexibility around e.g. exams.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Storing test data electronically
  • Preparing samples for testing
  • Lab maintenance and performing accelerated tests
  • Ad hoc administrative support for the team

What does it take to become a Student in R&D at Hempel?

We are looking for someone who is currently studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, laboratory experience would be considered a merit.
