Job description

AssocRICS/MRICS Remote working Building Surveyor - London or surrounding areas - £60 - 77,000 depending on experience.

Our client is an independent firm are a team of around 15 who focus on quality over quantity work (av. fee £1200 for L3 in London), predominately covering London and Manchester. They have an office in West London which you are welcome to use but for the most part, it is remote / hybrid working.

All new joiners join the company joins as an Associate Director or Director depending on level of experience.

They have a very low staff turnover due to what we see as a strong, collegiate and autonomous working environment well supported with administration and IT systems and ultimately strong earnings potential which is consistently delivered.

Summary:

  • Dynamic team with a good sociable and client facing environment.
  • Mix of work to suit but will include building surveys, expert witness, dilapidations and defect reports.
  • They undertake work for the likes of Wetherspoons, Mandarin Oriental, Galliard, a number of large housing associations. So, a mix of portfolio and individual instructions.
  • High fee basis, average fee for a building survey is £1,200+VAT (London figures)
  • One building survey a day only.
  • High fees and low-cost overheads allow us to pay more back to surveyors.
  • Can be home of office based or hybrid to suit.
  • Team of 15 people and will join 5 existing surveyors on the building survey side.
  • Looking for motivated and overall diligence surveyors whom prioritise reporting standards, detail and knowledge over volume.
