As the Lead Visual Design Manager - They will lead our graphics team in crafting impactful visual narratives that elevate our brand globally. They will oversee a team of designers and freelancers to ensure seamless execution of visual projects across various platforms. They should be innovative and able to reflect Blink's sophistication and high-tech aesthetic. This person should be capable of creating captivating documents for our internal sales department, external clients, and direct customers. We are seeking a proactive designer who can identify areas for improvement and take the initiative to address them rather than simply working on assigned tasks.
As an experienced visual design manager, you will have a track record of:
- Designing compelling sell sheets and related sales collateral.
- Creating and curating targeted sales decks and presentations.
- Developing corporate brochures, annual reports, and investor relations documents.
- Storyboarding and editing product and customer testimonial videos.
- Designing webpages and understanding UX in web and app design.
- Creating print, digital, and display advertising.
- Designing email and direct mail member communications.
- Developing product and product wrap designs.
- Designing conference and tradeshow display and collateral.
- Acquiring product and lifestyle photography for marketing collateral, product catalog, and digital adaptations.
- Creating and maintaining consistent brand standards including social media templates.
- Understanding branding, brand guidelines, and corporate visual identity systems.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Leadership | Provide visionary leadership to the graphics team, driving innovation and maintaining brand sophistication in all visual communications.
- Project Oversight |Manage visual design projects including video, photo production, product wraps, event booth designs, and more.
- Brand Guidelines | Maintain, update, and evolve brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all visual touchpoints.
- Collaboration | Work closely with PR editors, corporate communications managers, and content managers to align visual storytelling with brand messaging.
- Campaign Execution | Translate creative campaign ideas into visually compelling executions.
- Internal Communications | Design internal newsletters and other internal-facing visuals.
- External Communications | Create visuals for external marketing materials, digital and print media, and product marketing materials.
- Team Management | Lead a team of designers and manage relationships with freelancers, providing direction and feedback for high-quality deliverables.
- Process Optimization | Implement efficient workflows and project management strategies to streamline design processes and meet deadlines effectively.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively across teams and with external partners. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are also required
- Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud, inclusive of After Effects and Premiere Pro, with a portfolio showcasing innovative and sophisticated visual design work.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects, multitask, set priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Innovation: Demonstrated ability to bring fresh ideas and creative solutions to visual challenges.
- Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring a team of designers, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment. Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or visual communications
- 4+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer/Visual Design Lead, preferably within a corporate or agency setting
