Demiurge Studios is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Engineering Manager to help lead our team to success. You will be organizing engineering efforts to develop an exciting new open world RPG for PC and console. You'll work with other discipline leads to scope and plan work. You'll meet with engineers regularly, provide them the feedback they need to improve, and make sure that they have the opportunities they need to grow their skills. You will be a key part of our hiring team, helping us to hire amazing software engineers to make Demiurge a more effective and diverse company. Responsibilities:Collaborate with design and art leads to estimate and scope game featuresManage engineers on your team, including task assignments and follow upSupport and nurture engineers through regular one-on-one meetings and career managementFacilitate communication between engineering and production teams through agile development processesCreate and maintain technical design documents and programming task schedulesAdvocate for improving code robustness and maintainabilityScreen, interview, and hire engineering candidatesHelp to onboard new hires and integrate them into Demiurge cultureEstablish and implement best practices that enable us to ship best-in-class gamesRepresents Demiurge to external partners in an ongoing way as a key contactRequired Qualifications:10+ years professional software development experience3+ years experience in an engineering management roleProfessional software development experience in C++Experience developing software with the Unreal Game EngineExperience developing with Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) and BlueprintExperience developing games for the PC platformStrong programming and software architecture skillsExperience developing software using agile methodologiesExperience leading teams of engineersExperience hiring and mentoring engineersExcellent written and oral communication skills in EnglishExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsBS or higher in Computer Science or similar discipline (Physics, Math, EE, etc.), or equivalent experiencePreferred Qualifications:Console development experienceExperience working with external engineering contractorsExperience developing games with proprietary game enginesExperience setting up automated build systems and unit test frameworksExperience optimizing software to meet performance goalsExperience developing tools for content creationAbout Us:
