About Our Client

Our client, a globally recognised leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to oversee the proactive identification, escalation, and timely mitigation of compliance and operational risks nationwide. Aligned with the Global Compliance strategy, this pivotal role involves managing comprehensive compliance programs and collaborating closely with other Compliance and Operational Risk (COR) officers, including Enterprise and Independent Areas of Coverage, to ensure rigorous oversight of Front Line Unit (FLU) and Control Function (CF) activities. Job Description

  • Executes the Compliance and Operational Risk Management Program for entities operating within the country.
  • Maintains a comprehensive regulatory inventory, identifies and assesses changes in laws and regulations, and provides guidance to business leaders while directing COR teams accordingly.
  • Identifies, reports, escalates, and challenges remediation plans. Conducts thematic analysis on issues and control enhancements.
  • Manages associates, promoting an inclusive environment aligned with Diversity & Inclusion goals.
  • Demonstrates deep process knowledge, operational excellence, and innovation, focusing on simplicity, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement.
  • Manages regulatory inquiries and examinations.


The Successful Applicant

  • MSc or BSc in Business or any related discipline, with a preference for a Banking / Financial Services related experience
  • Proficient in developing compliance strategies that harmonise with business objectives and regulatory mandates
  • Demonstrated expertise in driving organisational change and ensuring robust compliance amidst evolving regulatory environments
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical behavior
  • Effective leadership skills and high integrity
