The Vacancy

Binnies UK has an exciting opportunity for Finance Manager with relevant experience support the growth of a non-incorporated integrated joint venture that has been formed by two RSK owned Companies to service the mechanical, electrical and civil engineering needs of UK wide water utility companies.

Binnies UK Ltd and WGM Engineering Ltd have come together to form bWGM and has successfully bid and won two major frameworks. The turnover of the joint venture is planned to grow significantly over the next 12 to 24 months. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to be an integral part of setting up processes and procedures and advising the board and management team of bWGM on financial matters (and non-financial as required).

The awarded frameworks and location of the management team are geographically spread so we are flexible on location, but some travel is required. The RSK group has a wide range of office locations that this role will be able to access. The role sits within the Binnies UK finance team and requires attendance in the Redhill once a month to form relationships with the team.

About the Role:

  • JV finance lead acting as the key liaison between finance, commercial, operations and JV partners.
  • Be an integral part of the management team.
  • Produce timely and accurate finance packs for the parent companies and ad hoc reports as required.
  • Preparing monthly forecasts and annual budget.
  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures such as approval limits within the JV.
  • Assist all aspect of the JV with interface into the accounting system Access.
  • Support the bidding and winning of new contracts.


Essential requirements:

  • Finance background ideally has experience of working with large and medium sized contracting projects.
  • Collaborative team player who can work with all stakeholders for the best interests of the joint venture.
  • Possess IT skills that will allow for the efficient flow of data using the Microsoft suite of products and has experience of using accounting packages. Training for using Access Dimensions will be given.
  • Qualified or Reaching Qualification in a recognised accounting qualification.

  • Self-motivated and willing to work as part of multiple teams.
  • Problem solver that can work under minimal supervision.
  • Willing to dive into problems that aren’t strictly finance related.
  • Personable and has a track record of managing multiple employee interfaces.
  • Experience in developing finance data/packs that aid the readers decision making process.
