Director, Partner Solutions

The Job...

The Director of Partner Solutions is the tip of the spear and owner of all things pertaining to the creation and implementation of partner technology solutions. He or she will be a critical part of both the sales and post-signature implementation processes and will play a key role in helping to facilitate Snap’s continued growth with larger, more technically complex partners.

Both individually and from a team leadership perspective, this role will be responsible for several key aspects of the solutions and implementation processes. From guiding the technical pre-sales relationship and proposing technical architectures, to demonstrating Snap products and working with internal teams to create buy-in and gain sign-off, this role and the team are imperative to the overall success of large, technically complex partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Both highly technical and a skilled relationship builder, comfortable walking C-level partner contacts through an engaging experience or sketching a UX or API flow on a whiteboard with partner technical teams
  • Anticipate concerns while presenting creative solutions that enable and inspire innovation and trust throughout the sales and implementation phases of the partner journey
  • Build and showcase product demos that inform vision while balancing the vision with the ability to execute post-sale
  • Showcase the ability to deeply understand the intersection of Snap’s business model, partner needs, and the challenges that need to be addressed
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams at Snap (Sales, Onboarding, Partner Strategy, Sales Enablement) and within partner organizations to ensure solutions are thoughtful, manageable, and scalable while meeting partner needs
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including time, scope, and cross-functional/system dependencies as part of an SOW process
  • Establish/execute upon a framework for necessary contributions from various departments and facilitate their collaboration
  • Utilizing a deep/comprehensive knowledge of Snap products and capabilities, currently and working in partnership with Product, design, propose, and gather approval for solutions that will meet partner needs
  • Work alongside project management and other cross-functional teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiativess

  • 5 + years pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products and managing technical sales.
  • Hands-on, high-energy, passionate, and creative problem solver with know how to get things done and ability to follow-through and lead others to success
  • Excellent communicator and presenter, able to gain audience confidence
  • Previous software development experience and experience working with technical teams; familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud applications architecture a plus
  • At least 5 years of project development, IT development and cloud infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciencet or Software EngineerEngineeringing (MBA a plus)
  • Up to date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Experience with software engineerengineeringing, customer experience, and design architecture
  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systemsAbility to work amidst ambiguity, take initiative independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Very strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills (written and verbal) with an analytical, consultative inclination
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on both future and immediate opportunities for growth, scale and improvement with unyielding dependability, reliability, and work ethic
  • A positive, can-do attitude, embracing challenges and finding constructive resolutions
