Job description

The Position

As a Junior Accountant you will be making an impact on shaping and developing the Finance team at bullfinch. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Accountant to manage the accounting for Bullfinch Group. This role requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.

What you will do : 

  • Execute the monthly and annual closing of all companies of the Bullfinch group in cooperation with the finance team and external tax advisors.
  • Ensure data accuracy in the accounts and compliance with professional and regulatory standards by monitoring open items, reconciling accounts and clarifying differences.
  • Create reporting for the CFO, the Executive and Supervisory Board or Investor.
  • Provide support in ongoing projects, and optimize structures and processes within the finance department.
  • Manage communication with tax advisors, institutions, auditors and authorities. 
  • You will collaborate with the finance and operations teams as your "internal resources", work on a project basis with our other teams like investment, tech, risk or hr  and engage with external advisors if necessary to complete your tasks.
  • Development path: lead Accountant team going forward / lead the group accounting with full responsibility.  

 

You will be great in this position if:

  • Commercial training with a focus on financial accounting, a business degree or comparable training/study. 
  • Fluency in German and English is an advantage.
  • Have experience in accounting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficient in DATEV and the Microsoft Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of German accounting principles, VAT laws, and tax regulations.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle complex accounting tasks, with a strong emphasis on meeting deadlines and ensuring reliability.
  • Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Able to work independently and autonomously, confidently taking on responsibilities.
