Job description

Job Overview & Responsibilities:

The Product Manager role is responsible for developing products around our services business.  The Product Manager will focus on support multiple efforts to develop high value consulting products, including initiatives like SaaS Managed Services, Patch Management as a Service, and Consulting as a Services.  You will work across our organization with Product sales teams, consulting services sales and delivery teams, and marketing teams to develop services to take to our Government and Commercial customers.  You will survey the market, develop requirements, build specifications, and work with teams building and delivering the offerings.  In addition, you will evangelize the offerings, assist in their initial sales, and then measure the success, driving continuous improvement in both the offerings and the delivery.


Responsibilities and Essential Duties

  • Product Development:
    • Develop and manage consulting offerings such as SaaS managed services, patch management as a service, and other related solutions.
    • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and industry trends.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new products and services.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Engage with government and commercial customers to understand their requirements and pain points.
    • Tailor product offerings to meet the specific needs of government clients while ensuring applicability to commercial customers.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy:
    • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing products.
    • Work with the Marketing and training organizations to create marketing materials, sales tools, and training programs to support the sales team.
    • Conduct services demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers early in the sales cycle.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Consulting and Product sales and pre-sales, marketing, Consulting delivery, engineering, and managed services teams.
    • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Performance Analysis:
    • Track and analyze product performance metrics for released products.
    • Perform win/loss analysis on customer engagements.
    • Collect and analyze customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
    • Report on product performance to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

 Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7 – 10 years’ experience in progressive technology roles.
  • 5+ years of product management experience in a technology services organization.
  • Work experience in developing cloud technology products and solutions.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Understanding of Cloud technologies, including SaaS, PaaS and IaaS.
  • Base level understanding of Oracle Cloud offerings.
  • Understanding of the Services business, as it relates to Cloud implementation and ongoing services.
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication s in reading, writing, speaking, the English language.
  • Experience conducting research and ensuring the use of proper technical terminology.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective professional correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently to create, track, and report on plans to complete multiple documents on the project in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Knowledge of IT ATO processes such as NIST and FEDRAMP is a plus.
  • Ability to learn additional systems as needed.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
  • Experience writing for Oracle technical products is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge or experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to develop graphics, flowcharts, and illustrations for technical reports, SOPs, and other materials.
