The Role:  

You will help standardize and enhance DevOps and security practices. As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security, reliability, and efficiency of our client's applications and infrastructure. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust security measures, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and proactively address vulnerabilities. Responsibilities:

  • Provision and configure AWS resources using Infrastructure as Code
  • Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify and analyze workloads,  and define and document their threat models.
  • Regularly assess and patch vulnerabilities in operating systems, application dependencies, and third-party solutions.
  • Develop automated solutions for vulnerability detection and patch deployment.
  • Enhance logging and metrics instrumentation across applications and infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
  • Advocate for and implement continuous improvements in infrastructure and security practices and processes.

Required Skills:  

  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, CloudFormation preferred.
  • Proficient in Git for version control.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools and deployment automation.
  • Experience with virtualizing or containerizing applications, such as creating AMIs or docker images.
  • Production experience with AWS resources and their best practices.
  • Experience with scripting languages, e.g., Bash, Python for automating operations.

Nice to have:  

  • Familiarity with AWS's Well-Architected principles.
